UNIQUE DISABILITY ID CARD

The Govt of India has introduced the said Identity Card which can be applied on line by the persons with disability in addition to sending the hard copy of the application with all the requisite documents to the issuing authority.

             "Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities” project is being implemented with a view of creating a National Database for PwDs, and to issue a Unique Disability Identity Card to each person with disabilities. The project will not only encourage transparency, efficiency and ease of delivering the government benefits to the person with disabilities, but also ensure uniformity.The project will also help in stream-lining the tracking of physical and financial progress of beneficiary at all levels of hierarchy of implementation – from village level, block level, District level , State level and National level.
           The Objective of this project is to enable the PwDs to obtain the new UDID card / Disability Certificate to avail schemes and benefits.

Before attempting to fill up the applications keep following ready in soft copies on your desk top:-

1. Voter ID card
2. PAN Card
3. Aadhaar Card
4. Disability Certificate
5. Latest PP Photo
6. Scan of your signatures.
7. Pension Receipt if any (Check details on web site)

Keep Your Name, Father's Name , Mothers Name and Address Temp & Pmnt both in Hindi as well as English. for copy pasting on the application.

Better to keep the entire soft material in as separate folder for ease of linking on the application.

Once the application is successfully submitted you will get a receipt with ID number .


The UDID card shall bring a host of benefits to the Persons with Disabilities as given below:
  1. Persons with disabilities will not need to make multiple copies of documents, maintain, and carry multiple documents as the card will capture all the necessary details which can be decoded with the help of a reader
  2. The UDID card will be the single document of identification, verification of the disabled for availing various benefits in future
  3. The UDID Card will also help in stream-lining the tracking of the physical and financial progress of beneficiary at all levels of hierarchy of implementation – from village level, block level, District level , State level and National level
