UPDATES - CURRENT ISSUES
* Dearness Relief - There is likely increase in DA by 3 to 4% wef Jul 25. Announcement is likely by end Sep 25.
* ECHS membership is now being offered to officer cadets who have been disabled and discharged on medical ground for life. They can apply for membership without payment of joing fee of Rs 120000/-
* Filing ITR - Its time to file Income Tax returns (Last Date 15 Sep 2025), an Email has been sent to all members on our list linking them to the web post for necessary guide lines. please note that it is beneficial to take new regime for most of us whose deductions under 80C etc are around Rs 2.20 Lakh. Do calculate your tax liability under both regimes, take help of the web post in this site.
* Canteen Cards - There is an expiry date for all CSD Cards, please check the same from your canteen office. Donot forget to apply for new cards at least 3 months before expiry to avoid any break in your CSD shopping.
* Disability Pension cannot be denied to soldiers Court Rules.
* Choose your pension bank which gives more benefits by converting your acct tp Def Pension Account. Plz go to the bank and ask them to change the category to Defence Acct.
* We have to live with buying NA medicines and then claim, there is too much of load of claims with PCs as such it takes three months for the claims to be settled. We should try to place claims on line ourselves to cut out such details. Reference be made to the web post in this site.
* In Budget 25 there has been an effort to give benefits on Income tax to the salaried employees and pensioners on income tax. Any one earning upto Rs one lakh per month will not have to pay any income tax (Rebate under section 87A has been increased to Rs 60000 which is the tax on 12 lakhs) , add Rs 75000 more for pensioners and salaried employees as also rs 25000 for family pensioners. * Nomination for Life Time Arrears (LTA) module on SPARSH is activated now please register your nominee. There is no provision for Family pensioners for filing nomination for LTA, they must mention the same in their WILL.
* SPARSH MOBILE APPLICATION has been discontinued and is abandoned, the same may be deleted from your mobile phone. You can access your account only through https://sparsh.defencepension.gov.in/
* PAN - 2 Project. A new Pancard with the same number but with addl features will be issued to 78 Crore PAN holders. It will come on your registered address as in PAN. Do update your address since it may have changed in most cases. CICK TO KNOW MORE
* OROP-3 In majority of the cases the arrears of OROP-3 as well as the DA increase have been paid by the PCDA this month. Check your pension slips. For entitlement refer to the tables below:-

*. SPARSH pensioners whose SPARSH PPO numbers began with 104 have been changed to 101 the last five figs also stand changed. The new number is to be used as your new log in ID. Passwords if not received can be regenerated with Forgot Passwords on SPARSH Log in page.
*. You can Submit your life certificate on any date which may be special to you. It will be valid for one full year you may refer to our web post here in this site to know more. One can avoid rush of Oct and Nov.

* SPARSH - CHANGE OF BANK - Its very easy and is done in less than a weeks time. Login to your Soarsh Portal account using your Log in details but before that keep a scan copy of a cancelled cheque of your new bank account ready on your device for upload. Click on “Manage Profile”, choose “Bank Details”. Here click the edit button and replace the old bank details with the new ones. Similarly change the Account Number & IFSC code . The portal will then ask you to upload the scan of the cancelled cheque. Upload it and you are done. The account will be updated in a week or so. This is a straight field and requires no approvals of PCDA or Army HQ and only data is amended after veryfication with your cheque.
