How to Lock or Unlock your Aadhaar Card Biometrics Data Online
For the past few months we
have been reading concerns expressed on security of your biometric data stored
on the UAIDI servers. In order to address these public concerns UIDAI
has now provided an option on its Aadhaar Portal, with which you can easily lock
or unlock your Aadhaar Biometrics Stored in their Database. Once you get
enrolled for Aadhaar Card your biometrics details were captured such as you’re
both eyes iris scan, finger prints, and your photo. So all these biometrics
details can be locked from accessing by any one by you on line and on mobile App.
So how to lock or unlock your Aadhaar Card Biometrics Online you will get to know by following below guide on How to Lock or Unlock your Aadhaar Card Biometrics Online.
1. https://resident.uidai.net.in/biometric-lock Following window will open --
2. Enter your Aadhaar Number Security Code (what ever comes in place of 1305) , CLICK ON SEND OTP. You will get 6 digit OTP on your registered and linked mobile, enter the same in the filed on the Right side and CLICK on LOG IN at the bottom of the page which will be seen after correct OTP has been provided by you.
NOTE :- For this facility you must have your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar , if not done earlier do it now by going to any Aadhaar Enrolment centre close to your place of work or residence., It can neither be done on line or by post.
3. On login following page will open to enable the lock / unlock facility for you ;-
4. Enter Security code (As may come for you in place of 0314) and Click on ENABLE (GREEN) , This will enable the lock on your Card and new page as under will open confirming that your Aadhaar verification has been locked.
5 Hereafter no one will be able to use your Aadhaar Number for Biometeric verification.
6. TO UNLOCK when needed, log in from the above page with your Aadhaar number and OTP on your mobile as per Step 1 above. Proceed through Step 2 as above following page will open similar to as shown in Step 3 with little difference as under :-
7. Enter security code as we did in Step 3 and clock on UNLOCK (Green). You will get the Congratulations and your Aadhaar will be enabled for verification process till you lock again.

M-AADHAAR MOBILE APPLICATION ON ANDROID SMART PHONES..
Times have come when you
will only be known as a 12 digit number and not by your name, it will
be your nick name. Hence this post being posted for your action....
You must have at least perused my earlier e mail and the web post on my blog site http://signals-parivaar.blogspot.in
, subjected "locking your biometric data authentication" even if not
yet acted upon it to safe guard your aadhaar against possible frauds.
Govt of India has launched a very good phone application named
M-aadhaar which be downloaded and installed on your smart phones , .
undrr permissions sed that you allow - read service messages and SMS.
Once installed, Open the Application and set up the app password as
prompted, with at least one capital letter, a numerical and spec
character. Remember, this is your App Password and not Aadhaar PW.
Note it and donot forget it. There is no forgotten PW option here.
Open App and enter the Password, blank page opens, tap on the +
button, new page opens, here enter Aadhaar Number, App PW, get OTP
from UIDAI server, it will be read automatically only, you cannot
enter the OTP manually, a safe guard.
Now tap Verify.
your Aadhar will come up and seen on the screen,
You can now lock or unlock your biometric authentication by a simple click, automatic OTP and App PW.
Make use of this simple and good application,
The aadhaar card shown here is your e-card which is a valid card to prove identity as notified by the Govt whrre ever needed
You
can add more than one aadhaar card in this application if the
registered mob number is the same on second or third card as well . .
Plz note that this app will work for you only on your aadhaar registered mob phone and number and none else
